We had two airbnbs cancel on us for our trip. In a last minute desperate act, I reached out to Barbara. She was immediately responsive and let us know her place was available. The place was no short of amazing! The property was set up well and the home was one of the coolest I have ever been to. She was a sweetheart to deal with and saved this trip for us! I really hope her property is available next year when we come up as it was an incredible place to spend a few days. Barbara, you're a life saver and we so greatly appreciate you and your home! Thank you, absolute A+ host in my opinion!

We absolutely loved the house - so beautifully decorated and great layout! There was enough space to spread out and every gathering area including the porches was inviting. We felt so comfortable and didn’t want to leave! The sunset views did not disappoint!

I want to start off by saying I never leave reviews. This is not because I’ve had a bad stay, just never felt moved to leave one. With that said, this was a girls trip for my 87 year old grandmother. Our main goal was to visit Bangor Maine as this was my grandfather’s first duty station & my grandmother thought she’d never make it back; my grandfather has since passed 3 years ago. The pictures do not do it justice, & if I’m honest, I regret not planning accordingly to have more downtime at the home. I will say, if you’re not use to being in the sticks, you should definitely find the house during the daytime. We certainly had an adventure arriving at night, but as soon as you walk in the home, it makes you forget your trail and tribulations. LOL! Even when I messaged Barbara that I think we are lost, she responded immediately & a kind gentleman at a different house helped us! My family has never experienced a house like this, & the tears of joy were real & forever etched! I’ll be back!!

Fantastic and peaceful location. This house has a great layout and was super comfortable for the 2 other couples we shared with. Well appointed, linens were all above average. Not a single complaint. Would stay here again in a second!

WOW doesn’t even cover it! This house is AMAZING! We were constantly marveling at the beauty inside AND outside of this home. We fell in love with the layout, the decor and the small details of elegance. And the VIEW!! What a gorgeous view right from stepping inside the front door….you can immediately see the “pond” out back (which is more like a lake). Sunsets are GEORGEOUS! We had a small family wedding ceremony in the backyard for our daughter and we could not have asked for a better backdrop. 😍
We really enjoyed the screened-in room. Very comfortable furniture while watching the sunset. We also loved the gourmet kitchen, huge table with the canoe light above! The house is beautifully decorated. We would LOVE to stay here again!! Wonderful hosts!

Great house !!! We had a wonderful week making memories on the lake! The view from all the porches are truly amazing ,especially in the early morning with coffee at sunrise and spirits at sunset are just beautiful! We especially enjoyed our dinners together at the table which comfortably seated our family of 11 overlooking the lake.
Plenty of places to spread out in the home and enjoy time together.
Loved all the suggestions for activities ! We really had a great time in Bar Harbor, climbing Schoodic Mountain and exploring Schoodic Peninsula. Perfect week at the Luxury Lakehouse 🤩

The house and location were perfect for us. Peaceful and relaxing while not too far from things to do! Kitchen was fully stocked with the anything you could need, including a large lobster pot. We enjoyed relaxing in the different seating areas, watching the beautiful scenery. We were able to see seals playing in the water during low tide. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting Maine.

We had an amazing week in this gorgeous cabin. We wanted a quiet place, off the beaten path, for a relaxing vacation and this was the perfect house for that. The young adults used this as a jumping off point to explore the area, while my husband and I had some much needed R&R on the property. The stunning view and ocean breeze made the deck my favorite place to be - I spent hours watching the bald eagles soar by, and the seals popping their heads out of the water. The house had everything we needed for meals and entertainment at home, and we also hit some excellent local restaurants. I highly recommend this beautiful spot!

This place is a little paradise. Beautiful home, wonderful ponds, and one of most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever experienced. My family enjoyed fishing and kayaking right outside this beautiful home. Barbara was a great host and very responsive. We would love to go back. Highly recommend!
